Our client was a local roofing business that suffered damages when after a large storm one of its employees interfered with various customer relationships and misappropriated company resources, resulting in substantial loss of revenues. Our firm’s main practice is representing people who have been physically injured in some type of accident or families in wrongful death claims; however, our client was in desperate need of legal counsel.

Our firm was the third law firm involved in our client’s representation, and when we entered our appearance the case was on the verge of being dismissed. We were able to prevent the case from being dismissed, overcome defendants’ motion for summary judgment, and ultimately get the case heard in front of a jury.

The week before trial defendants offered our client $7,000.00 in settlement of all claims. Our client declined the offer, the case proceeded to trial, and the jury awarded $396,172.00 in damages. The district court judge later remitted the verdict and, following appeal, the final amount recovered on behalf of our client amounted to $246,808.54.
